Coaches Information and Resources
LSSA utilizes SportsManager.com for managing team rosters, including collecting player rating information. Each coach is assigned a login consisting of their email address and a password. Contact your division representative if you do not know your login or need help accessing SportsManager.com.
LSSA provides coaching clinics each season and will reimburse coaches for their MYSA Youth Coaching Certificate (formerly 'F' License). Review the LSSA Event Calendar for LSSA provided coaching clinics and visit the MYSA web site for license clinics.
To be reimbursed for the Youth Coaching Certificate (formerly 'F' License) course, submit your certificate to your division representative.
LSSA has started a library of DVDs on coaching and skills. Feel free to check them out.
The coach's manual provides a review of the rules of the game with LSSA division specific rule changes. Those divsion specific items are summarized in the division specific information flyer.
Referee development is something LSSA continues to invest in by having mentors observe and/or referee alongside less experienced referees. To aid in monitoring referee performance and developing quality referees, LSSA is providing an online feedback form. Please use the form constructively. The form is meant to be used by coaches to provide feedback on a specific game.
Coaches for U7 and up are required to submit a game card at the start of each game listing the players in number order. The game card must include the division, date, game time, and coaches names. To make completing game cards in a legibile manner easier, coaches are provided game card labels they can print and affix to the blank game cards they are also provided.
Prior to each season the following forms need to be completed by coaches.
LSSA provides teams the opportunity to work the concession stand to raise money.
