Dynamos

Dynamos teams are for the top level players who want to play with similar committed players and be challenged to compete at the highest level. It is the goal of the Dynamos Soccer Club to develop its players and teams as they get older to be able to compete successfully at the state, regional and national level.

U10 Age Group

The development of technique, individual skills and good habits are important at the U10 age groups. Focusing on tactics at this age can sometimes help with short term gains as far as game results go, but typically end up with a long term loss as far as player development is concerned. So improving individual techniques and giving players confidence when in possession of the ball will be a large part of the training curriculum.

Practices throughout the year will include sessions that focus on developing techniques such as passing, the first touch, shooting, heading, 1v1 defending, 1v1 attacking, etc. Practices will be active and fun for the players with lots of small-sided games. Players will be encouraged to try out their new skills in games so they can continue to develop and improve. The game schedule will be set and adjusted throughout the season so the players are challenged to test their new skills against the correct level of competition.

Mike Saif

Originally from England, Mike came to Kansas City in 1991 to coach and direct soccer camps for Challenger Sports. Previously, in England, Mike began his coaching education and attained the English coaching license. In 1994, Mike attained the USSF 'B' License and in 1995, Mike attained the USSF 'A' license. In 1996 Mike formed the Dynamos Soccer Club. Since that time, he has won 12 Kansas State Championships with his Dynamos team and is the only coach from Kansas to win a National Championship when the his 87G Dynamos team won the U14G USYS National Championship.

Older Dynamos teams and players are well known by local, regional and national college coaches, and have a reputation for being highly skilled and dedicated soccer players. Many Dynamos players have earned scholarships to play at top Division One colleges like Notre Dame, Nebraska, KU, MU, IA State, Creighton, etc.

Mike is also the President of WORLD CLASS COACHING, a company that produces soccer coaching material for thousands of coaches in over 70 countries worldwide including almost all U.S. college coaches.
